On Lean Leadership

Traditional managers often don't want to hear bad news and people often get punished as the messenger or if you've made a mistake. By its definition, a lean leader wants to hear about these problems and they want to have a bias for action and solve those problems.

Hi,

I have been working with various teams these weeks planning the work of the next three months. This is know as Program Increment Planning, a practice used in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), so it was quote timely to talk to Richard in this episode. He has authored various books about this framework and while we discussed some of the key practices, we also talked about lean leadership, why focus on defining the problem first before jumping into solutions and teamwork.

Listen to the episode here.

By the way, next week, I will be presenting at the AFCEA TechNet Cyber conference. If you want to know more, connect with me on LinkedIn and I will give you updates : )

See you next week!
